Week 7 Assignment

Bringing students together in groups to use the internet to explore ideas for writing assignment seems to be a good idea to help the kids to open their minds more to different and more broad ideas. This will also get them use to associating the internet with educational purposes. The internet will help them to "think ouside the box" on writing assignments.
When doing a powerpoint it would be very easy for your students to get distrated when incorporating music and videos into their powerpoints. I would try to maintain control over this by setting rules over the types of music that they may use so this may keep them on track with their assignment but still let them be able to have the know how of putting music and video into their projects.
I feel like using technology tools in the classroom helps to gain the childrens interest and it seems so much easy for a child to comprehend when he/she is more interested and having fun while learning. Powerpoint can let kids be creative and expressive and learn the material being presented in the classroom also.

Blog assignment Week 6

Peronal Digital Assistance is a handheld computer or "handheld". They are used in the classroom as tools for instruction and they positively impact students motivation.  They are good organizing mechanisms because they have tools such as calender, task, and memo tools. High end handhelds can include cameras, audio recordin, usb port, and even GPS systems. All of these will help to make the student more creative when dealing with any lesson.
Online surveys are another tool that is available for us in the classroom.  We use online survey tools to be able to have collection opportunities across the corriculum. These tools range in functionality, ease of use, and cost.  Community groups or organizations vould be used to identify potential respondents. For example students may hold a survey over an area of interest of their own.  When students create surveys they engage in learning that is intentional and authentic. Identifying the purope of the survey, making decisions is all part of surveying. Two good rules for writing surveys are to find the correct survey to conduct in  your classroom and secondly to formulate well designed questions.
Both of these tools will help your children in your classroom to learn and open their minds to technology.  These tools also help you as the teacher to be able to teach a lesson more efficiently to your classroom.

Assignment 3

I would use Inspiration in my classroom to help intergrate technology into my students learning. I think that Inspiraiton in the classroom could be very helpful in the class room to teachers and students by broadening technology opportunitys. Students can help each other during writing by editing and giving supportive ideas. Peer feedback can be supported by blogging or internet interaction about the lessons. The first time I had to teach a new skill I did know it very well because the skill was training someone in the work place and I had work there for a very long time. I did learn a few things while teaching the trainee because they asked questions that  I did not know the answer to therefore I had to learn those answers to better inform the trainee.
